2020 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Cattle Fever Tick 4
2121 Eradication Program Enhancement Act’’. 5

2727 N GENERAL.—Not later than 1 year after 9

3333 tract with a covered institution under which the cov-2
3434 ered institution shall conduct a review of the Pro-3
3535 gram. 4

3737 EVIEW ELEMENTS.—The review conducted 5
3838 pursuant to paragraph (1) shall include an evalua-6
3939 tion of— 7
4040 (A) the effectiveness of the Program with 8
4141 respect to preventing and reducing the spread 9
4242 of tick-borne illnesses in cattle; 10
4343 (B) with respect to cattle producers— 11
4444 (i) the benefits of the Program; and 12
4545 (ii) the burden of compliance with the 13
4646 Program; 14
4747 (C) the treatment protocols developed and 15
4848 implemented under the Program; and 16
4949 (D) the Federal and State funds allocated 17
5050 to support the Program for the most recent fis-18
5151 cal year, including the funds allocated to each 19
5252 research project associated with the Program. 20
5353 (b) R
5454 EPORT.—Not later than 1 year after the date 21
5555 on which the Secretary of Agriculture and a covered insti-22
5656 tution enter into a contract pursuant to subsection (a)(1), 23
5757 the Secretary of Agriculture shall submit to the Com-24
5858 mittee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives and 25

7171 EFINITIONS.—In this section: 9

7373 OVERED INSTITUTION .—The term ‘‘cov-10
7474 ered institution’’ means— 11
7575 (A) a land-grant college or university; or 12
7676 (B) a non-land-grant college of agriculture. 13

7878 AND-GRANT COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY .— 14
7979 The term ‘‘land-grant college or university’’ means 15
8080 an institution from among the land-grant colleges 16
8181 and universities (as defined in section 1404 of the 17
8282 Food and Agriculture Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3103)). 18

8484 ON-LAND-GRANT COLLEGE OF AGRI -19
8585 CULTURE.—The term ‘‘non-land-grant college of ag-20
8686 riculture’’ has the meaning given such term in sec-21
8787 tion 1404 of the Food and Agriculture Act of 1977 22
