| 43 | 43 | | operation of military cybersecurity activities between the 13 |

| 44 | 44 | | Department of Defense and the Government of Taiwan 14 |

| 45 | 45 | | under subsection (a), the Secretary of Defense may carry 15 |

| 46 | 46 | | out efforts to— 16 |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | (1) actively defend military networks, infra-17 |
|---|
| 48 | 48 | | structure, and systems; 18 |

| 49 | 49 | | (2) eradicate malicious cyber activity that has 19 |

| 50 | 50 | | compromised such networks, infrastructure, and sys-20 |
|---|

| 52 | 52 | | (3) leverage United States commercial and mili-22 |

| 53 | 53 | | tary cybersecurity technology and services to harden 23 |
