54 | 54 | | Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary 13 |

55 | 55 | | of Homeland Security shall prohibit the entry of covered 14 |

56 | 56 | | aliens for any period during which the Secretary cannot— 15 |
---|
57 | 57 | | (1) detain such covered aliens as required under 16 |
---|
58 | 58 | | section 235(b)(1)(B) of the Immigration and Na-17 |
---|
59 | 59 | | tionality Act (8 U.S.C. 1225(b)(1)(B)); or 18 |
---|
60 | 60 | | (2) place such covered aliens in a program con-19 |
---|
61 | 61 | | sistent with section 235(b)(2)(C) of the Immigration 20 |
