18	18	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
19	19	tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
20	20	SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
21	21	This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Space National Guard 4
22	22	Establishment Act’’. 5
23	23	SEC. 2. ESTABLISHMENT OF SPACE NATIONAL GUARD. 6

25	25	STABLISHMENT.— 7

27	27	N GENERAL.—There is established a Space 8
28	28	National Guard that is part of the organized militia 9

34	34	(A) in which the Space Force operates; 3

38	38	ESERVE COMPONENT .—There is estab-6
39	39	lished a Space National Guard of the United States 7
40	40	that is the reserve component of the United States 8
41	41	Space Force all of whose members are members of 9
42	42	the Space National Guard. 10
43	43	(b) C
44	44	OMPOSITION.—The Space National Guard shall 11
45	45	be composed of the Space National Guard forces of the 12
46	46	several States and Territories, Puerto Rico, and the Dis-13
47	47	trict of Columbia— 14
48	48	(1) in which the Space Force operates; and 15
49	49	(2) active and inactive. 16
50	50	SEC. 3. NO EFFECT ON MILITARY INSTALLATIONS. 17
51	51	Nothing in this subtitle, or the amendments made by 18
52	52	this subtitle, shall be construed to authorize or require the 19
53	53	relocation of any facility, infrastructure, or military instal-20
54	54	lation of the Space National Guard or Air National Guard. 21
55	55	SEC. 4. IMPLEMENTATION OF SPACE NATIONAL GUARD. 22

57	57	EQUIREMENT.—Except as specifically provided 23
58	58	by this subtitle, the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief 24
59	59	of the National Guard Bureau shall implement this sub-25

64	64	than 18 months after the date of the enactment of this 2
65	65	Act. 3

67	67	RIEFINGS.—Not later than 90 days after the 4
68	68	date of the enactment of this Act, and annually for the 5
69	69	five subsequent years, the Secretary of the Air Force, 6
70	70	Chief of the Space Force and Chief of the National Guard 7
71	71	Bureau shall jointly provide to the congressional defense 8
72	72	committees a briefing on the status of the implementation 9
73	73	of the Space National Guard pursuant to this subtitle and 10
74	74	the amendments made by this subtitle. This briefing shall 11
75	75	address the current missions, operations and activities, 12
76	76	personnel requirements and status, and budget and fund-13
77	77	ing requirements and status of the Space National Guard, 14
78	78	and such other matters with respect to the implementation 15
79	79	and operation of the Space National Guard as the Sec-16
80	80	retary and the Chiefs jointly determine appropriate to 17
81	81	keep Congress fully and currently informed on the status 18
82	82	of the implementation of the Space National Guard. 19

160	160	the reserve component of the Space Force that consists 10

162	162	‘‘(1) federally recognized units and organiza-12
163	163	tions of the Space National Guard; and 13
164	164	‘‘(2) members of the Space National Guard who 14
165	165	are also Reserves of the Space Force. 15
166	166	‘‘§ 10116. Space National Guard: when a component of 16
167	167	the Space Force 17
168	168	‘‘The Space National Guard while in the service of 18
169	169	the United States is a component of the Space Force. 19
170	170	‘‘§ 10117. Space National Guard of the United States: 20

173	173	tional Guard of the United States shall be administered, 23
