3131 EPORT.—Not later than 39 months after the 4
3232 date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense 5
3333 shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the 6
3434 House of Representatives and the Senate a report on at- 7
3535 home child care programs offered by each military depart-8
3636 ment. Such report shall include— 9
3737 (1) an identification of the number of such at- 10
3838 home child care programs that have opened, closed, 11
3939 or relocated during the period beginning on the date 12
4040 of enactment of this Act and ending on the date that 13
4141 this three years after such date; 14
4242 (2) a summary of difficulties, if any, experi-15
4343 enced by military spouses employed at such at-home 16
4444 child care programs with respect to— 17
4545 (A) obtaining necessary certifications or 18
4646 licences; and 19
4747 (B) opening, closing, or relocating such an 20
4848 at-home child care program; and 21
4949 (3) a summary of effects, if any, that the open-22
5050 ing, closing, or relocation of such an at-home child 23
5151 care program has on the employment rate of mili-24
5252 tary spouses residing in geographic proximity to 25
5353 such at-home child care program. 26

5959 N GENERAL.—The Secretary of Defense 2
6060 shall conduct a feasibility study on— 3
6161 (A) standardizing the requirements of each 4
6262 military department relating to licensing and 5
6363 certification for at-home child care providers; 6
6464 (B) removing barriers, if any, to the ex-7
6565 pansion of at-home child care programs de-8
6666 scribed in subsection (a); and 9
6767 (C) supporting the employment of military 10
6868 spouses in such at-home child care programs. 11

7070 EPORT REQUIRED.—Not later than 180 12
7171 days after the date of the submission of the report 13
7272 under subsection (a), the Secretary of Defense shall 14
7373 submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the 15
7474 House of Representatives and the Senate a report 16
7575 that includes the findings of such feasibility study. 17
