2121 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘DEI Pay Cap Act of 4

2323 SEC. 2. DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION PERSONNEL 6

2626 NGENERAL.—The Secretary of Defense may not 8
2727 appoint to, or otherwise employ in, any position with du-9

3535 OVEREDDUTIES.—The duties referred to in 4
3636 subsection (a) are as follows: 5
3737 (1) Developing, refining, and implementing di-6
3838 versity, equity, and inclusion policy. 7
3939 (2) Leading working groups and councils to de-8
4040 veloping diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and 9
4141 objectives to measure performance and outcomes. 10
4242 (3) Creating and implementing diversity, equity, 11
4343 and inclusion education, training courses, and work-12
4444 shops for military and civilian personnel. 13
4545 (c) A
4646 PPLICABILITY TOCURRENTEMPLOYEES.—Any 14
4747 military or civilian employee appointed to a position with 15
4848 duties described in subsection (b) who holds a rank or 16
4949 grade in excess of that allowed under subsection (a) shall 17
5050 be reassigned to another position not later than 180 days 18
5151 after the date of the enactment of this Act. 19
