24	18		SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
25	19		This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Pala Band of Mission 4
26	20		Indians Land Transfer Act of 2023’’. 5

43		-	RANSFER OF LAND INTO TRUST .—If, not 9
44		-	later than 180 days after the date of enactment of 10
45		-	this Act, the Tribe transfers title to the land re-11
46		-	ferred to in subsection (c) to the United States, the 12
47		-	Secretary, not later than 180 days after the date of 13
48		-	that transfer, shall take that land into trust for the 14
49		-	benefit of the Tribe. 15

	37	+	later than 180 days after the date of enactment of 5
	38	+	this Act, the Tribe transfers title to the land re-6
	39	+	ferred to in subsection (c) to the United States, the 7

	41	+	that transfer, shall take that land into trust for the 9
	42	+	benefit of the Tribe. 10

51		-	DMINISTRATION.—The land taken into 16
52		-	trust under paragraph (1) shall be part of the Pala 17
53		-	Indian Reservation and administered in accordance 18
54		-	with the laws and regulations generally applicable to 19
55		-	land held in trust by the United States for an Indian 20
56		-	Tribe. 21
	44	+	DMINISTRATION.—The land taken into 11
	45	+	trust under paragraph (1) shall be part of the Pala 12
	46	+	Indian Reservation and administered in accordance 13
	47	+	with the laws and regulations generally applicable to 14

71		-	right or claim of the Tribe to any land or interest 6

74		-	(2) affects any water right of the Tribe in exist-9
75		-	ence before the date of enactment of this Act; or 10
76		-	(3) terminates or limits any access in any way 11
77		-	to any right-of-way or right-of-use issued, granted, 12
