To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to modify
work requirements under the supplemental nutrition as-
sistance program, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Let’s Get to Work 4
Act of 2023’’. 5
SEC. 2. SNAP WORK REQUIREMENTS. 6
(a) R
EPEAL OFWAIVER.—Section 2301 of the Fami-7
lies First Coronavirus Response Act (7 U.S.C. 2011 note; 8
Public Law 116–127) is repealed. 9
(b) W
ORKREQUIREMENTS.— 10

(1) IN GENERAL.—Section 6(o) of the Food 1
and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2015(o)) is 2
amended— 3
(A) in paragraph (2), in the matter pre-4
ceding subparagraph (A), by inserting ‘‘, or, in 5
the case of a parent or other member of a 6
household with responsibility for a dependent 7
child, 6 months (consecutive or otherwise),’’ be-8
fore ‘‘during which’’; 9
(B) in paragraph (3)— 10
(i) in subparagraph (A), by striking 11
‘‘50’’ and inserting ‘‘60’’; 12
(ii) in subparagraph (C), by adding 13
‘‘under 6 years of age’’ before the semi-14
colon at the end; 15
(iii) in subparagraph (D), by striking 16
‘‘or’’ at the end after the semicolon; 17
(iv) in subparagraph (E), by striking 18
the period at the end and inserting ‘‘; or’’; 19
and 20
(v) by adding at the end the following: 21
‘‘(F)(i) responsible for a dependent indi-22
vidual; and 23

‘‘(ii) married to, and resides with, an indi-1
vidual who is in compliance with the require-2
ments of paragraph (2).’’; and 3
(C) in paragraph (6)— 4
(i) in subparagraph (B), by striking 5
‘‘(H)’’ and inserting ‘‘(G)’’; 6
(ii) in subparagraph (C), by striking 7
‘‘(F) and (H)’’ and inserting ‘‘(E) and 8
(G)’’; 9
(iii) in subparagraph (D), by striking 10
‘‘(F) through (H)’’ and inserting ‘‘(E) 11
through (G)’’; 12
(iv) by striking subparagraph (E); 13
(v) by redesignating subparagraphs 14
(F) through (H) as subparagraphs (E) 15
through (G), respectively; and 16
(vi) in subparagraph (E) (as so redes-17
ignated), by striking ‘‘(C), (D), or (E)’’ 18
and inserting ‘‘(C) or (D)’’. 19
(2) C
ONFORMING AMENDMENT .—Section 20
16(h)(1)(E)(ii)(I) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 21
2008 (7 U.S.C. 2025(h)(1)(E)(ii)(I)) is amended by 22
striking ‘‘3-month period’’ and inserting ‘‘3-month 23
or 6-month period, as applicable,’’. 24

SEC. 3. WORK REQUIREMENTS FOR PUBLIC HOUSING AND 1
TENANT-BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE. 2
(a) P
UBLICHOUSING.—Section 3 of the United 3
States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437a) is amend-4
ed by adding at the end the following: 5
‘‘(e) W
ORKREQUIREMENTS FOR FAMILIES.—The re-6
quirements described in section 6(o) of the Food and Nu-7
trition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2015(o)) shall apply with 8
respect to any individual who— 9
‘‘(1) is a member of a family residing in a pub-10
lic housing dwelling; and 11
‘‘(2) is not exempted from those requirements 12
under paragraph (3) of such section.’’. 13
(b) T
ENANT-BASEDRENTALASSISTANCE.—Section 14
8(o) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 15
1437f(o)) is amended by adding at the end the following: 16
‘‘(22) W
ORK REQUIREMENTS FOR FAMILIES .— 17
The requirements described in section 6(o) of the 18
Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2015(o)) 19
shall apply with respect to any individual who— 20
‘‘(A) is a member of a family receiving ten-21
ant-based assistance; and 22
‘‘(B) is not exempted from those require-23
ments under paragraph (3) of such section.’’. 24
