27	27	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
28	28	tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
29	29	SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
30	30	This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protection of Women 4
31	31	in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act’’. 5

35	35	SEC. 2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS. 1
36	36	(a) D
37	37	EFINITION.—Section 220501(b) of title 36, 2
38	38	United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the 3
39	39	following: 4
40	40	‘‘(13) ‘female’ means an individual who has, 5
41	41	had, will have—or would have, but for a develop-6
42	42	mental or genetic anomaly or historical accident— 7
43	43	the reproductive system that at some point produces, 8
44	44	transports, and utilizes eggs for fertilization. 9
45	45	‘‘(14) ‘male’ means an individual who has, had, 10
46	46	will have—or would have, but for a developmental or 11
47	47	genetic anomaly or historical accident—the repro-12
48	48	ductive system that at some point produces, trans-13
49	49	ports, and utilizes sperm for fertilization. 14
50	50	‘‘(15) ‘sex’ means an individual’s biological sex, 15
51	51	either male or female.’’. 16

53	53	LIGIBILITY.—Section 220522 of title 36, United 17
54	54	States Code, is amended— 18
55	55	(1) in paragraph (18), by striking ‘‘and’’ at the 19
56	56	end; 20
57	57	(2) in paragraph (19), by striking the period 21
58	58	and inserting ‘‘; and’’; and 22
59	59	(3) by adding at the end the following: 23
