3-year recovery period for all race horses.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Race Horse Cost Re-4
covery Act of 2025’’. 5
SEC. 2. THREE-YEAR DEPRECIATION FOR RACE HORSES. 6
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 168(e)(3)(A)(i) of the In-7
ternal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended to read as fol-8
lows: 9
‘‘(i) any race horse,’’. 10

(b) EFFECTIVEDATE.—The amendments made by 1
this section shall apply to property placed in service after 2
December 31, 2022. 3
