3232 NGENERAL.—No funds or property received 4
3333 pursuant to section 511(e) of the Controlled Substances 5
3434 Act (21 U.S.C. 811(e)), section 981 of title 18, United 6
3535 States Code, or section 524 of title 28, United States 7
3636 Code, by a State or local law enforcement agency with the 8
3737 authority to prosecute a criminal case may be used to in-9
3838 vestigate or prosecute the President or Vice President, a 10
3939 former President or Vice President, or a candidate for the 11
4040 office of President. 12

4242 ERTIFICATION.—A State or local law enforce-13
4343 ment agency referred to in subsection (a) shall certify to 14
4444 the Attorney General that the law enforcement agency will 15
4545 comply with subsection (a). 16

4747 ISQUALIFICATION.—In the case of a State or 17
4848 local law enforcement agency that the Attorney General 18
4949 determines has failed to comply with this section, the At-19
5050 torney General may not transfer, under section 511(e) of 20
5151 the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 811(e)), section 21
5252 981 of title 18, United States Code, or section 524 of title 22
5353 28, United States Code, any property seized by the Attor-23
5454 ney General and forfeited to the United States, or any 24
5555 of the proceeds from the sale of such property to such 25
5656 State or local law enforcement agency. 26
