SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Byron Nash Renal 4
Medullary Carcinoma Awareness Act of 2023’’. 5

(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 1903(a)(3)(E)(ii) of the 5
Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396b(a)(3)(E)(ii)) is 6
amended by inserting ‘‘, renal medullary carcinoma,’’ after 7
‘‘stroke’’ each place it appears. 8
(b) E
FFECTIVEDATE.—The amendments made by 9
subsection (a) shall apply with respect to items and serv-10
ices furnished on or after the date of the enactment of 11
this Act. 12
