Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘The Global Demining 4
Protection Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. RESUMPTION OF ACTIVITIES REQUIRED. 1
The Secretary of State shall take such steps as may 2
be necessary to issue as soon as practicable after the date 3
of the enactment of this Act a waiver, pursuant to the 4
authority provided by section 3(e) of Executive Order 5
14169 (90 Fed. Reg. 8619; relating to reevaluating and 6
realigning United States foreign aid), for the immediate 7
resumption of all programs, projects, and activities of the 8
Department of State relating to demining, the clearance 9
of unexploded ordnance, or the destruction of small arms. 10
