20	20	This Act may be cited as the ‘‘U.S. Park Police Mod-4

29	29	NGENERAL.—Section 501(c)(1) of the District 4
30	30	of Columbia Police and Firemen’s Salary Act of 1958 (sec. 5
31	31	5–545.01(c)(1), D.C. Official Code) is amended to read 6
32	32	as follows: 7
33	33	‘‘(1) The annual rates of basic compensation of 8
34	34	officers and members of the United States Park Po-9
35	35	lice, serving in classes corresponding or similar to 10
36	36	those in the salary schedule in § 5–541.01 shall be 11
37	37	fixed in accordance with the following schedule of 12
38	38	rates: 13

123	123	(1) in subparagraph (B), by striking ‘‘or 9’’ 5
124	124	and inserting ‘‘9, 10, or 11’’; 6
125	125	(2) in subparagraph (C), by striking ‘‘10’’ and 7
126	126	inserting ‘‘12’’; and 8
127	127	(3) by striking subparagraph (D). 9

130	130	justments to the annual rates of basic compensation of 11

141	141	be construed as limiting or reducing any payment under 5
142	142	section 501(c)(3) of the District of Columbia Police and 6
143	143	Firemen’s Salary Act of 1958 (sec. 5–545.01(c)(3), D.C. 7
144	144	Official Code). 8

146	146	FFECTIVEDATE.—This section and the amend-9
147	147	ments made by this section shall take effect on the first 10
148	148	day of the first pay period beginning on or after the date 11
149	149	of the enactment of this Act. 12
