This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Fentanyl is a WMD 4

The Assistant Secretary for the Countering Weapons 3
of Mass Destruction Office of the Department of Home-4
land Security shall treat illicit fentanyl as a weapon of 5
mass destruction for purposes of title XIX of the Home-6
land Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. 590 et seq.). 7
