SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘District of Columbia 4
Superior Court Jury Duty for Seniors Opt Out Act of 5
2025’’. 6

SEC. 2. PERMITTING INDIVIDUALS 70 YEARS OF AGE OR 1
OLDER TO OPT OUT OF JURY SERVICE IN SU-2
PERIOR COURT OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUM-3
BIA. 4
Section 11–1908(b), District of Columbia Official 5
Code, is amended— 6
(1) by striking ‘‘or (4)’’ and inserting ‘‘(4)’’; 7
and 8
(2) by striking the period at the end of the first 9
sentence and inserting ‘‘; or (5) excluded by the 10
Court upon the request of the individual if the indi-11
vidual is 70 years of age or older.’’. 12
