2424 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Wireless Broadband 4
2525 Competition and Efficient Deployment Act’’. 5

4444 EFINITIONS.—In this section: 13

4646 OMMISSION.—The term ‘‘Commission’’ 14
4747 means the Federal Communications Commission. 15

4949 OVERED PROJECT .—The term ‘‘covered 16
5050 project’’ means a project— 17
5151 (A) for— 18
5252 (i) the mounting or installation of an 19
5353 eligible personal wireless service facility 20
5454 with another eligible personal wireless serv-21
5555 ice facility that exists at the time at which 22
5656 a complete request for authorization of 23
5757 such mounting or installation is filed with 24
5858 a State or local government or instrumen-25
5959 tality thereof or with an Indian Tribe; or 26

7070 LIGIBLE PERSONAL WIRELESS SERVICE 7
7171 FACILITY.—The term ‘‘eligible personal wireless 8
7272 service facility’’ means any antenna, apparatus, or 9
7373 transmitting device, and any equipment, switches, 10
7474 wiring, cabling, power sources, shelters, or cabinets, 11
7575 for the provision of a personal wireless service. 12

7777 EDERAL AUTHORIZATION .—The term 13
7878 ‘‘Federal authorization’’— 14
7979 (A) means any authorization required 15
8080 under Federal law with respect to a covered 16
8181 project; and 17
8282 (B) includes any permits, special use au-18
8383 thorizations, certifications, opinions, or other 19
8484 approvals as may be required under Federal law 20
8585 with respect to a covered project. 21

8787 NDIAN TRIBE.—The term ‘‘Indian Tribe’’ 22
8888 has the meaning given the term ‘‘Indian tribe’’ 23
8989 under section 102 of the Federally Recognized In-24
9090 dian Tribe List Act of 1994 (25 U.S.C. 5130). 25

9494 (6) PERSONAL WIRELESS SERVICES .—The term 1
9595 ‘‘personal wireless services’’— 2
9696 (A) has the meaning given such term in 3
9797 section 332(c)(7)(C) of the Communications 4
9898 Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 332(c)(7)(C)); and 5
9999 (B) also includes commercial mobile data 6
100100 service (as defined in section 6001 of the Mid-7
101101 dle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 8
102102 2012 (47 U.S.C. 1401)). 9

104104 TATE.—The term ‘‘State’’ means each 10
105105 State of the United States, the District of Columbia, 11
106106 and each territory or possession of the United 12
