5454 NCLUSION ON THE COMMITTEE.—Section 9
5555 721(k) of the Defense Production Act of 1950 (50 U.S.C. 10
5656 4565(k)) is amended by adding at the end the following: 11

5858 NCLUSION OF THE SECRETARY OF AGRI -12
5959 CULTURE.—The Secretary of Agriculture shall be a 13
6060 member of the Committee with respect to a covered 14
6161 transaction that involves— 15
6262 ‘‘(A) agricultural land; 16
6363 ‘‘(B) agriculture biotechnology; or 17
6464 ‘‘(C) the agriculture industry, including ag-18
6565 ricultural— 19
6666 ‘‘(i) transportation; 20
6767 ‘‘(ii) storage; and 21
6868 ‘‘(iii) processing.’’. 22

8181 N GENERAL.—After receiving no-3
8282 tification from the Secretary of Agriculture 4
8383 of a reportable agricultural land trans-5
8484 action, the Committee shall determine— 6
8585 ‘‘(I) whether the transaction is a 7
8686 covered transaction; and 8
8787 ‘‘(II) if the Committee deter-9
8888 mines that the transaction is a cov-10
8989 ered transaction, whether the Com-11
9090 mittee should initiate a review pursu-12
9191 ant to subparagraph (D), or take an-13
9292 other action authorized under this sec-14
9393 tion, with respect to the reportable ag-15
9494 ricultural land transaction. 16

9797 LAND TRANSACTION .—In this subpara-18
9898 graph, the term ‘reportable agricultural 19
9999 land transaction’ means a transaction— 20
100100 ‘‘(I) that the Secretary of Agri-21
101101 culture has reason to believe is a cov-22
102102 ered transaction; 23
103103 ‘‘(II) that involves the acquisition 24
104104 of an interest in agricultural land by 25

120120 UNSET.—The requirements 12
121121 under this subparagraph shall terminate, 13
122122 with respect to a foreign person of the re-14
123123 spective foreign country, on the date that 15
124124 the People’s Republic of China, the Demo-16
125125 cratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Rus-17
126126 sian Federation, or the Islamic Republic of 18
127127 Iran, as the case may be, is removed from 19
128128 the list of foreign adversaries in section 20
129129 791.4 of title 15, Code of Federal Regula-21
