EXTENSION OF SPECIAL RULES FOR HAITI UNDER 1 CARIBBEAN BASIN ECONOMIC RECOVERY 2 ACT. 3 Section 213A of the Caribbean Basin Economic Re-4 covery Act (19 U.S.C. 2703a) is amended— 5 (1) in subsection (b)— 6 (A) in paragraph (1)— 7 (i) by amending subparagraph 8 (B)(v)(I) to read as follows: 9 ‘‘(I) A PPLICABLE PERCENT -10 AGE.—The term ‘applicable percent-11 age’ means 60 percent or more on and 12 after December 20, 2017.’’; and 13 (ii) by amending subparagraph (C) to 14 read as follows: 15 ‘‘(C) Q UANTITATIVE LIMITATIONS .—The 16 preferential treatment described in subpara-17 graph (A) shall be extended, during each period 18 after the initial applicable 1-year period, to not 19 more than 1.25 percent of the aggregate square 20 meter equivalents of all apparel articles im-21 ported into the United States in the most re-22 cent 12-month period for which data are avail-23 able.’’; and 24 (B) in paragraph (2), by striking ‘‘in each 25 of the 16 succeeding 1-year periods’’ each place 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 04:54 Mar 14, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H1625.IH H1625 kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB 3 •HR 1625 IH it appears and inserting ‘‘in any of the suc-1 ceeding 1-year periods’’; and 2 (2) by amending subsection (h) to read as fol-3 lows: 4 ‘‘(h) T ERMINATION.—The duty-free treatment pro-5 vided under this section shall remain in effect until Sep-6 tember 30, 2035.’’. 7 SEC. 3.
