3737 NTIA an office to be known as the Office of Policy Devel-7
3838 opment and Cybersecurity (in this section referred to as 8
3939 the ‘Office’). 9

4141 SSOCIATEADMINISTRATOR.—The head of the 10
4242 Office shall be an Associate Administrator for Policy De-11
4343 velopment and Cybersecurity (in this section referred to 12
4444 as the ‘Associate Administrator’), who shall report to the 13

7373 based, multistakeholder processes to create 11

7575 and implementation of cybersecurity and pri-13
7676 vacy policies with respect to the internet and 14

7878 ‘‘(D) promote increased collaboration be-16
7979 tween security researchers and providers of 17

8282 ‘‘(E) perform such duties as the Assistant 20
8383 Secretary considers appropriate relating to the 21
8484 program for preventing future vulnerabilities es-22
8585 tablished under section 8(a) of the Secure and 23

9898 and infrastructure and cybersecurity policy ef-8

103103 responsibilities of the NTIA with respect to cy-13
104104 bersecurity policy matters, including the evalua-14

106106 pending before the Commission, other Federal 16
107107 agencies, and Congress; 17
108108 ‘‘(I) in addition to the duties described in 18
109109 subparagraph (H), perform such other duties 19
110110 regarding the policy responsibilities of the 20
111111 NTIA with respect to cybersecurity policy mat-21
112112 ters as the Assistant Secretary considers appro-22

114114 ‘‘(J) develop policies to accelerate innova-24
115115 tion and commercialization with respect to ad-25

132132 ordination of policies relating to innovation and 14
133133 commercialization with respect to communica-15
134134 tions technologies, including policies focused on 16
135135 the needs of small businesses and rural commu-17

137137 ‘‘(i) within the Department of Com-19

139139 ‘‘(ii) between the Department of Com-21

166166 dividual serving as Associate Administrator for 16
167167 Policy Analysis and Development at the NTIA 17
168168 on the date of the enactment of this Act shall 18
169169 become, as of such date, the Associate Adminis-19
170170 trator for Policy Development and Cybersecu-20
171171 rity. 21

173173 DEFINED.—In this subsection, the 22
174174 term ‘‘NTIA’’ means the National Telecommuni-23
