3636 title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the 6

3838 ‘‘(f) The Secretary shall establish a dedicated tele-8
3939 phone number within the Education Call Center of the De-9
4040 partment for calls about services provided under this chap-10
4141 ter. Each regional office of the Department shall include, 11
4242 on the website of the regional office, a name, telephone 12
4343 number, and email address, through which veterans may 13
4444 receive information about services provided under this 14
4545 chapter.’’. 15

5656 whose responsibilities include providing counseling and 23
5757 services under this chapter to attend a monthly question 24
5858 and answer session with appropriate school certifying offi-25
5959 cials. 26

6363 ‘‘(b) INFORMATIONAL BRIEFINGS.—(1) The Sec-1
6464 retary shall require each veteran readiness and employ-2
6565 ment counselor to provide for veterans at each educational 3
6666 institution located in the geographic area served by the 4
6767 Regional Office where the counselor is employed an in- 5
6868 person briefing about services provided under this chapter. 6
6969 ‘‘(2) The Secretary may provide a briefing required 7
7070 under paragraph (1) virtually in the case of an educational 8
7171 institution located more than 150 miles away from the 9
7272 headquarters of the Regional Office. 10
7373 ‘‘(c) A
7474 NNUALREPORT.—Not later than one year 11
7575 after the date of the enactment of this section, and annu-12
7676 ally thereafter, the Secretary shall submit to the Commit-13
7777 tees on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and House of Rep-14
7878 resentatives a report on the extension of periods of voca-15
7979 tional rehabilitation programs under section 3105(c) of 16
8080 this title. Such report shall include, for the year covered 17
8181 by the report— 18
8282 ‘‘(1) the number of veterans who requested 19
8383 such an extension; 20
8484 ‘‘(2) the number of such requests that were ap-21
8585 proved; and 22
8686 ‘‘(3) the number of such requests that were re-23
8787 jected.’’. 24

9191 (2) CLERICAL AMENDMENT .—The table of sec-1
9292 tions at the beginning of such chapter is amended 2
9393 by adding at the end the following new item: 3

9595 (c) EXTENSION OF ENTITLEMENTS.—Section 4
9696 3105(c) of title 38, United States Code, is amended— 5
9797 (1) by redesignating paragraphs (1) and (2) as 6
9898 subparagraphs (A) and (B), respectively; 7
9999 (2) by inserting ‘‘(1)’’ before ‘‘The Secretary’’; 8
100100 and 9
101101 (3) by adding at the end the following new 10
102102 paragraph: 11
103103 ‘‘(2) If a veteran applies for an extension under 12
104104 paragraph (1), the Secretary shall approve or reject 13
105105 the extension by not later than 30 days after the 14
106106 date on which the veteran submits a request for the 15
107107 extension.’’. 16
