34 | 34 | | STABLISHMENT OF GRANTPROGRAM.—The 10 |
---|
35 | 35 | | Assistant Secretary shall award grants, on a competitive 11 |
---|
36 | 36 | | basis, to eligible entities to— 12 |
---|
37 | 37 | | ‘‘(1) operate a qualified child care facility with-13 |
---|
38 | 38 | | in the long-term care facility or contract with a 14 |
---|
39 | 39 | | qualified child care facility; 15 |
---|
40 | 40 | | ‘‘(2) coordinate multigenerational activities be-16 |
---|
41 | 41 | | tween the integrated qualified child care facility and 17 |
---|
42 | 42 | | long-term care facility; and 18 |
---|
43 | 43 | | ‘‘(3) build a new, or expand an existing, long- 19 |
---|
44 | 44 | | term care facility operated by the eligible entity for 20 |
---|
45 | 45 | | any of the purposes described in paragraph (1) or 21 |
---|

48 | 48 | | PPLICATION.—An entity seeking a grant under 23 |

49 | 49 | | this section shall submit an application to the Assistant 24 |
---|
50 | 50 | | Secretary at such time, in such manner, and accompanied 25 |

51 | 51 | | by such information as the Assistant Secretary may rea-26 |

63 | 63 | | ating a qualified child care facility within an 7 |
---|
64 | 64 | | long-term care facility as required under sub-8 |
---|
65 | 65 | | section (a)(1); 9 |
---|
66 | 66 | | ‘‘(B) the effectiveness of the 10 |
---|
67 | 67 | | multigenerational activities coordinated under 11 |
---|
68 | 68 | | subsection (a)(2); and 12 |
---|
69 | 69 | | ‘‘(C) the impact on older individuals and 13 |
---|
70 | 70 | | children of the 14 co-location and 14 |
---|
71 | 71 | | multigenerational activities carried out by the 15 |
---|

97 | 97 | | entities used in operating qualified child care facili-11 |
---|
98 | 98 | | ties within long-term care facilities as required 12 |
---|
99 | 99 | | under subsection (a)(1); 13 |
---|
100 | 100 | | ‘‘(3) a description of the methods such eligible 14 |
---|
101 | 101 | | entities used in coordinating multigenerational ac-15 |
---|
102 | 102 | | tivities required under subsection (a)(2); 16 |

103 | 103 | | ‘‘(4) a strategy for disseminating the findings 17 |
---|
104 | 104 | | resulting from the projects carried out through 18 |

125 | 125 | | ‘‘(B) any nursing facility, as defined in 8 |
---|
126 | 126 | | section 1919(a) of the Social Security Act (42 9 |
---|
127 | 127 | | U.S.C. 1396r(a)); 10 |
---|
128 | 128 | | ‘‘(C) a board and care facility; and 11 |
---|
129 | 129 | | ‘‘(D) any other adult care home, including 12 |
---|
130 | 130 | | an assisted living facility, similar to a facility or 13 |
---|

158 | 158 | | control and prevention, such entity— 9 |
---|
159 | 159 | | ‘‘(1) conducts a screening process for all visi-10 |
---|
160 | 160 | | tors of such entity; and 11 |

161 | 161 | | ‘‘(2) is in compliance with all applicable state 12 |
---|
162 | 162 | | and local sanitation and infection control require-13 |
