3232 NGENERAL.—Section 529(c) of the Internal 5
3333 Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end 6
3434 the following new paragraph: 7
3535 ‘‘(10) T
3636 REATMENT OF CERTAIN AVIATION 8
3737 MAINTENANCE AND COMMERCIAL PILOT COURSES .— 9
3838 ‘‘(A) I
3939 N GENERAL.—Any reference in this 10
4040 subsection to the term ‘qualified higher edu-11
4141 cation expense’ shall include a reference to ex-12
4242 penses for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and 13
4343 equipment required for the participation of a 14
4444 designated beneficiary in a qualified aviation 15
4545 maintenance course or a qualified commercial 16
4646 pilot course. 17
4747 ‘‘(B) Q
4848 UALIFIED AVIATION MAINTENANCE 18
4949 COURSE.—For purposes of this paragraph, the 19
5050 term ‘qualified aviation maintenance course’ 20
5151 means any course of instruction taught at an 21
5252 aviation maintenance technician school gov-22
5353 erned by part 147 of title 14, Code of Federal 23
5454 Regulations. 24
5555 ‘‘(C) Q
5656 UALIFIED COMMERCIAL PILOT 25
5757 COURSE.—The term ‘qualified commercial pilot 26

6868 FFECTIVEDATE.—The amendment made by 7
6969 this section shall apply to distributions made after the 8
7070 date of the enactment of this Act. 9
