law enforcement officers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Law Enforcement Offi-4
cer Recreation Pass Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. NATIONAL RECREATIONAL PASSES FOR LAW EN-1
FORCEMENT OFFICERS. 2
Section 805(b) of the Federal Lands Recreation En-3
hancement Act (16 U.S.C. 6804(b)) is amended by insert-4
ing after paragraph (2) the following: 5
‘‘(3) L
AW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER DIS -6
COUNT.—The Secretary shall make the National 7
Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass avail-8
able, without charge and for the lifetime of the 9
passholder, to any law enforcement officer. For the 10
purposes of this paragraph, the term ‘law enforce-11
ment officer’ means any officer, agent, or employee 12
of the Federal Government, a State, a unit of local 13
government, or an Indian Tribe, authorized by law 14
or by a government agency to engage in or supervise 15
the prevention, detection, or investigation of any vio-16
lation of criminal law, or authorized by law to super-17
vise sentenced criminal offenders.’’. 18
