2020 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Veterans Fellowship 4

2222 SEC. 2. PILOT PROGRAM ON SHORT-TERM FELLOWSHIP 6

2424 (a) A
2525 UTHORITY.—The Assistant Secretary of Labor 8
2626 for Veterans’ Employment and Training shall carry out 9

3030 a pilot program under which a State may use a grant or 1
3131 contract under section 4102A(b)(5) of title 38, United 2
3232 States Code, to carry out a short-term fellowship program. 3
3333 (b) L
3434 OCATIONS; AGREEMENTS.—The Assistant Sec-4
3535 retary shall select at least three, but not more than five, 5
3636 States to carry out a short-term fellowship program pur-6
3737 suant to subsection (a). Each such State shall enter into 7
3838 an agreement with a non-profit organization to carry out 8
3939 such program. 9

4141 HORT-TERMFELLOWSHIP PROGRAM.—Each 10
4242 short-term fellowship program carried out by a State pur-11
4343 suant to subsection (a) shall— 12
4444 (1) consist of veterans participating as fellows 13
4545 with an employer for a period not exceeding 20 14
4646 weeks; 15
4747 (2) provide to such veterans a monthly stipend 16
4848 during such period; and 17
4949 (3) provide to such veterans an opportunity to 18
5050 be employed on a long-term basis with the employer 19
5151 following such period. 20

5454 than four years after the date on which the pilot program 22
5555 commences under this section, the Comptroller General of 23

6363 UTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.—In addi-3

6767 pilot program under this section $10,000,000 for each of 7
