A BILL 
To ensure continuity of pay and allowances for members 
of the Armed Forces in the event of a lapse in appropria-
tions. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Pay Our Military Act’’. 4
SEC. 2. CONTINUING APPROPRIATIONS FOR PAY AND AL-5
LOWANCES FOR MEMBERS OF THE ARMED 6
FORCES. 7
(a) I
NGENERAL.—There are hereby appropriated for 8
fiscal year 2025, out of any money in the Treasury not 9
otherwise appropriated, for any period during which in-10

terim or full-year appropriations for fiscal year 2025 are 1
not in effect, such sums as are necessary to provide pay 2
and allowances to— 3
(1) members of the Armed Forces, including 4
the reserve components thereof, who perform active 5
service or inactive-duty training during such period; 6
(2) civilian employees of the Department of De-7
fense (and the Department of Homeland Security in 8
the case of the Coast Guard when the Coast Guard 9
is not operating as a service in the Department of 10
the Navy) whom the Secretary concerned determines 11
are providing support to members of the Armed 12
Forces described in paragraph (1); and 13
(3) contractors of the Department of Defense 14
(and the Department of Homeland Security in the 15
case of the Coast Guard when the Coast Guard is 16
not operating as a service in the Department of the 17
Navy) whom the Secretary concerned determines are 18
providing support to members of the Armed Forces 19
described in paragraph (1). 20
(b) T
ERMINATION.—Appropriations and funds made 21
available and authority granted pursuant to this Act shall 22
be available until the first of the following occurs: 23
(1) The enactment into law of an appropriation 24
(including a continuing appropriation) for any pur-25

pose for which amounts are made available in sub-1
section (a). 2
(2) The enactment into law of the applicable 3
regular or continuing appropriations resolution or 4
other Act without any appropriation for such pur-5
pose. 6
(3) January 1, 2026. 7
(c) D
EFINITIONS.—In this section: 8
(1) The terms ‘‘active service’’, ‘‘Armed 9
Forces’’, and ‘‘inactive-duty training’’ have the 10
meanings given such terms in section 101 of title 10, 11
United States Code. 12
(2) The term ‘‘reserve components’’ means the 13
components named in section 10101 of title 10, 14
United States Code. 15
(3) The term ‘‘Secretary concerned’’ means— 16
(A) the Secretary of Defense with respect 17
to the Department of Defense; and 18
(B) the Secretary of Homeland Security 19
with respect to matters concerning the Coast 20
Guard when the Coast Guard is not operating 21
as a service in the Department of the Navy. 22
