A BILL
To prohibit natural asset companies from entering into any
agreement with respect to land in the State of Utah
or natural assets on or in land in the State of Utah.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. PROHIBITION OF NATURAL ASSET COMPANIES 3
FROM ENTERING INTO CERTAIN AGREE-4
MENTS. 5
(a) D
EFINITION OFNATURALASSETCOMPANY.—In 6
this section, the term ‘‘natural asset company’’ means— 7
(1) a corporation that— 8

(A) holds the rights to the ecological per-1
formance of a defined area; and 2
(B) has the authority to manage the de-3
fined area for conservation, restoration, or sus-4
tainable management; or 5
(2) a company or organization that is substan-6
tially similar to a corporation described in paragraph 7
(1). 8
(b) P
ROHIBITION.—A natural asset company may not 9
enter into any agreement with respect to— 10
(1) land in the State of Utah; or 11
(2) natural assets on or in land in the State of 12
Utah. 13
