3232 Section 925(a)(3) of title 18, United States Code, is 5

3434 (1) by inserting ‘‘or to the spouse of such a 7
3535 member’’ before ‘‘or to’’; 8
3636 (2) by striking ‘‘members,’’ and inserting 9
3737 ‘‘members and spouses,’’; 10
3838 (3) by striking ‘‘members or’’ and inserting 11
3939 ‘‘members, spouses, or’’; and 12
4040 (4) by striking ‘‘member or’’ and inserting 13
4141 ‘‘member, spouse, or’’. 14
4242 SEC. 3. RESIDENCY OF SPOUSES OF MEMBERS OF THE 15
4343 ARMED FORCES TO BE DETERMINED ON THE 16
4444 SAME BASIS AS THE RESIDENCY OF SUCH 17

4747 Section 921(b) of title 18, United States Code, is 20
4848 amended to read as follows: 21
4949 ‘‘(b) For purposes of this chapter, a member of the 22
5050 Armed Forces on active duty, or a spouse of such a mem-23
5151 ber, is a resident of— 24
5252 ‘‘(1) the State in which the member or spouse 25
5353 maintains legal residence; 26
