38 | 38 | | known as the Transportation Equity Committee (referred 6 |

39 | 39 | | to in this Act as the ‘‘Committee’’), regarding comprehen-7 |

40 | 40 | | sive and interdisciplinary issues related to transportation 8 |
---|
41 | 41 | | equity from a variety of stakeholders in transportation 9 |
---|
42 | 42 | | planning, design, research, policy, and advocacy. 10 |

44 | 44 | | URPOSE OF THE ADVISORYCOMMITTEE.—The 11 |

45 | 45 | | Committee established under subsection (a) shall provide 12 |

46 | 46 | | independent advice and recommendations to the Secretary 13 |

47 | 47 | | on transportation equity, including developing a strategic 14 |
---|
48 | 48 | | plan with recommendations to the Secretary on national 15 |
---|
49 | 49 | | transportation metrics and the effect on such factors as 16 |
---|
50 | 50 | | economic development, connectivity, and public engage-17 |
---|
