A BILL 
To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to expand 
the eligibility of disabled veterans to receive supplemental 
nutrition assistance program benefits. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 1
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Feed Hungry Veterans 2
Act of 2025’’. 3
SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS. 4
The Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2011 5
et seq.) is amended— 6
(1) in section 3(j)(4)— 7
(A) by amending subparagraph (A) to read 8
as follows: 9
‘‘(A) has at least— 10
‘‘(i) one service-connected disability 11
which is rated at 60 percent or higher 12
under title 38, United States Code; or 13
‘‘(ii) two or more service-connected 14
disabilities, at least one of which is rated 15
at 40 percent or higher and the combined 16
rating is 70 percent or higher under such 17
title;’’, and 18
(B) by inserting after subparagraph (B) 19
the following: 20
‘‘(C) has a determination of being cata-21
strophically disabled under such title; or 22
‘‘(D) is under the age of 65 and receiving 23
a pension under section 1521 of such title;’’, 24
and 25
(2) in the 1st sentence of section 6(d)(2)— 26

(A) by striking ‘‘or (F)’’ and inserting 1
‘‘(F)’’, and 2
(B) by inserting before the period at the 3
end the following: 4
‘‘; or (G) a veteran described in subparagraph (A), (B), 5
(C), or (D) of section 3(j)(4)’’. 6
SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE; APPLICATION OF AMENDMENTS. 7
This Act, and the amendments made by this Act, 8
shall take effect on October 1, 2030. 9
