2222 SEC. 2. SALEM MARITIME NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK. 7

2424 EDESIGNATION.—The Salem Maritime National 8
2525 Historic Site shall hereafter be known and designated as 9
2626 the ‘‘Salem Maritime National Historical Park’’. 10

3030 (b) REFERENCES IN LAW.—Any reference to the 1
3131 Salem Maritime National Historic Site in any law, regula-2
3232 tion, map, document, record, or other paper of the United 3
3333 States shall be deemed to be a reference to the Salem Mar-4
3434 itime National Historical Park. 5
3535 SEC. 3. BOUNDARY STUDY. 6
3636 (a) I
3737 NGENERAL.—The Secretary shall conduct a 7
3838 boundary study to evaluate the suitability and feasibility 8
3939 of including in the National Park System, as part of the 9
4040 Salem Maritime National Historical Park (as redesignated 10
4141 by section 2(a)), sites and resources in the study area as-11
4242 sociated with the study area’s— 12
4343 (1) maritime history; 13
4444 (2) coastal defenses; and 14
4545 (3) military history, including National Guard 15
4646 and militia activity. 16
4747 (b) R
4848 EPORT.—Not later than 3 years after the date 17
4949 on which funds are made available to conduct the study 18
5050 required under subsection (a), the Secretary shall submit 19
5151 to the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of 20
5252 Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Nat-21
5353 ural Resources of the Senate a report containing— 22
5454 (1) the results of the study; and 23
5555 (2) any findings, conclusions, and recommenda-24
5656 tions of the Secretary. 25
