14-SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 1
15-This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Disabled Veterans 2
16-Housing Support Act’’. 3
17-SEC. 2. SERVICE CONNECTED DISABILITY COMPENSATION. 4
18-Section 102(a)(20) of the Housing and Community 5
19-Development Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5302(a)(20)) is 6
20-amended by adding at the end the following: 7

35+Section 102(a)(20) of the Housing and Community 2
36+Development Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5302(a)(20)) is 3
37+amended by adding at the end the following: 4

22-ERVICE-CONNECTED DISABILITY COM -8
23-PENSATION.—When determining whether a person is 9
24-a person of low and moderate income, a person of 10
25-low income, or a person of moderate income under 11
26-this paragraph, a State, unit of general local govern-12
27-ment, or Indian tribe shall exclude any service-con-13
28-nected disability compensation received by such per-14
29-son from the Department of Veterans Affairs.’’. 15
30-SEC. 3. REPORT. 16
31-The Comptroller General of the United States shall, 17
32-not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of 18
33-this Act, submit to the Congress a report that— 19
34-(1) examines how service-connected disability 20
35-compensation is treated for the purposes of deter-21
36-mining eligibility for all programs administered by 22
37-the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development; 23
38-(2) identifies any instances where service-con-24
39-nected disability compensation is treated in a man-25 3

41-ner inconsistent with the amendment made by sec-1
42-tion 2; and 2
43-(3) with respect to each program administered 3
44-by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Develop-4
45-ment in which service-connected disability compensa-5
46-tion is treated inconsistently, provides legislative rec-6
47-ommendations relating to how such program could 7
48-better serve veteran populations, and under-served 8
49-communities. 9
