Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act my be cited as the ‘‘Protecting Families 4
from Inflation Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. STUDY ON IMPACTS OF TARIFFS. 6
(a) S
TUDY.—The Board of Governors of the Federal 7
Reserve System shall conduct a study on the collective im-8

pact that every tariff issued by the United States, begin-1
ning in 2017 and each year thereafter, has on the cost 2
of goods and services for consumers and small businesses 3
in the United States. 4
(b) R
EPORT.—Not later than 270 days after the date 5
of the enactment of this Act, the Board shall submit to 6
the Congress a report that describes the findings of the 7
study required under subsection (a). 8
