15	15	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
16	16	tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
17	17	SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
18	18	This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Pit River Land Trans-4
19	19	fer Act of 2025’’. 5
20	20	SEC. 2. FINDINGS. 6
21	21	Congress finds that— 7
22	22	(1) the Four Corners land is located in the an-8
23	23	cestral territory of the Pit River Tribe; and 9

27	27	(2) the Pit River Tribe has historically used, 1
28	28	and has an ongoing relationship with, the Four Cor-2
29	29	ners land. 3
30	30	SEC. 3. LAND TO BE TAKEN INTO TRUST. 4

32	32	RANSFER OF FOURCORNERSFEDERAL 5

34	34	AND.— 6
35	35	(1) I
36	36	N GENERAL.—Subject to valid existing 7
37	37	rights, the Four Corners Federal land is hereby 8
38	38	taken into trust by the Secretary for the benefit of 9
39	39	the Tribe. 10
40	40	(2) S
41	41	URVEY.—Not later than 180 days after 11
42	42	the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of 12
43	43	Agriculture shall provide to the Secretary a complete 13
44	44	survey of the Four Corners Federal land. 14
45	45	(b) T
46	46	RANSFER OFFOURCORNERSFEELAND.— 15
47	47	(1) I
48	48	N GENERAL.—Not later than 180 days 16
49	49	after the date of the enactment of this Act, at the 17
50	50	request of the Tribe, the Secretary shall accept title 18
51	51	to the Four Corners Fee land. 19
52	52	(2) L
53	53	AND TAKEN INTO TRUST .—Not later than 20
54	54	180 days after the completion of the transfer of the 21
55	55	title to the Four Corners Fee land to the Secretary 22
56	56	pursuant to paragraph (1), the Secretary shall take 23
57	57	the Four Corners Fee land into trust for the benefit 24
58	58	of the Tribe. 25

62	62	(c) ADMINISTRATION.—Upon being taken into trust 1
63	63	under this section, the lands taken into trust by the Sec-2
64	64	retary for the benefit of the Tribe shall be— 3
65	65	(1) considered part of the Pit River Tribe Res-4
66	66	ervation; and 5
67	67	(2) administered by the Secretary in accordance 6
68	68	with the laws and regulations generally applicable to 7
69	69	property held in trust by the United States for an 8
70	70	Indian Tribe. 9
71	71	(d) G
72	72	AMINGPROHIBITED.—Land taken into trust 10
73	73	under this section shall not be used for any class II gam-11
74	74	ing or class III gaming under the Indian Gaming Regu-12
75	75	latory Act (25 U.S.C. 2701 et seq.) (as those terms are 13
76	76	defined in section 4 of that Act (25 U.S.C. 2703)). 14

78	78	EFINITIONS.—In this Act: 15

82	82	N GENERAL.—The term ‘‘Four Cor-17
83	83	ners Federal land’’ means the approximately 18
84	84	583.79 acres of land managed by the Forest 19
85	85	Service generally depicted within the ‘‘Proposed 20
86	86	Land Conveyance’’ boundary on the Map, in-21
87	87	cluding improvements and appurtenances there-22
88	88	on. 23
89	89	(B) E
90	90	XCLUSION.—The term ‘‘Four Cor-24
91	91	ners Federal land’’ does not include the ap-25

100	100	OUR CORNERS FEE LAND .—The term 5
101	101	‘‘Four Corners Fee land’’ means the approximately 6
102	102	40.18 acres of land generally depicted as ‘‘Tribal- 7
103	103	Owned Property’’ on the Map. 8

105	105	AP.—The term ‘‘Map’’ means the map ti-9
106	106	tled ‘‘Proposed Land Conveyance to the Pit River 10
107	107	Tribe’’ prepared by the Forest Service and dated 11
108	108	November 6, 2024. 12

110	110	ECRETARY.—The term ‘‘Secretary’’ means 13
111	111	the Secretary of the Interior. 14

113	113	RIBE.—The term ‘‘Tribe’’ means the Pit 15
114	114	River Tribe, California (includes XL Ranch, Big 16
115	115	Bend, Likely, Lookout, Montgomery Creek, and 17
116	116	Roaring Creek Rancherias). 18
