Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Hunger-Free Future 4
Act of 2025’’. 5
SEC. 2. ADJUSTMENTS TO THE THRIFTY FOOD PLAN IN THE 6
SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE 7
PROGRAM. 8
Section 3(u) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 9
(7 U.S.C. 2012(u)) is amended in the matter preceding 10
paragraph (1) by inserting after the 2d sentence the fol-11
lowing: ‘‘Each re-evaluation or update shall not result in 12
an increase in food insecurity and shall continue to adjust 13
the cost of the diet in accordance with paragraphs (1) 14
through (4), as applicable. For purposes of the preceding 15
sentence, the term ‘food insecurity’ means the number of 16
households that lack adequate food as a result of having 17
insufficient money and other resources to acquire food.’’. 18
