AN ACT
To direct the Joint Committee on the Library to procure
a statue of Benjamin Franklin for placement in the Capitol.

SECTION 1. PROCUREMENT AND PLACEMENT OF STATUE 1
OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN IN THE UNITED 2
STATES CAPITOL. 3
(a) O
BTAINING OFSTATUE.—Not later than Decem-4
ber 31, 2025, the Joint Committee on the Library shall 5
enter into an agreement to obtain a statue of Benjamin 6
Franklin, under such terms and conditions as the Joint 7
Committee considers appropriate consistent with applica-8
ble law. 9
(b) P
LACEMENT.—Not later than December 31, 10
2026, the Joint Committee shall place the statue obtained 11
under subsection (a) in a suitable permanent location in 12
the United States Capitol where the statue is accessible 13
to the public during a guided tour of the Capitol provided 14
by the Capitol Visitor Center. 15
