3131 later than 120 days after the date of enactment of this 4
3232 Act, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission shall revise sec-5
3333 tion 35.3045(a)(1) of title 10, Code of Federal Regula-6
3434 tions, by adding at the end the following: 7
3535 ‘‘(iv) A dose that is due to an extravasation and ex-8
3636 ceeds— 9
3737 ‘‘(A) 0.5 Sv (50 rem) dose equivalent to the 5 cubic 10
3838 centimeter volume of tissue receiving the highest absorbed 11
3939 dose during residence time; or 12
4040 ‘‘(B) 0.5 Sv (50 rem) shallow dose equivalent to the 13
4141 contiguous 10 square centimeters of skin receiving the 14
4242 highest absorbed dose during residence time.’’. 15

4444 FFECTIVEDATE.—The revision required under 16
4545 subsection (a) shall take effect on the date that is 18 17
4646 months after the date of enactment of this Act. 18
