3434 (a) I
3535 NGENERAL.—Not later than the seventh day of 6
3636 each month, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall 7
3737 publish on a publicly available webpage of the Department 8
3838 of Homeland Security and submit to the Committee on 9
3939 Homeland Security of the House of Representatives and 10
4040 the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental 11
4141 Affairs of the Senate a report on the total number, and 12
4242 an identification of the nationalities or countries of last 13
4343 habitual residence, of special interest aliens encountered 14
4444 by the Department attempting to unlawfully enter the 15
4545 United States during the immediately preceding month. 16
4646 Each such report shall also include the following: 17
4747 (1) Such number disaggregated by geographic 18
4848 regions of such encounters. 19
4949 (2) Specifications relating to whether such en-20
5050 counters were made at land, air, or sea ports of 21
5151 entry, between ports of entry, or in the interior of 22
5252 the United States. 23
5353 (3) Identification of any such nationalities or 24
5454 countries of last habitual residence that are covered 25
5555 nations. 26

5959 (b) DEFINITIONS.—In this section: 1

6161 LIEN.—The term ‘‘alien’’ has the meaning 2
6262 given such term in section 101 of the Immigration 3
6363 and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101). 4

6565 OVERED NATION.—The term ‘‘covered na-5
6666 tion’’ has the meaning given such term in section 6
6767 4872(d)(2) of title 10, United States Code. 7
6868 (3) S
6969 PECIAL INTEREST ALIEN.—The term ‘‘spe-8
7070 cial interest alien’’ means an alien who, based on an 9
7171 analysis of travel patterns, potentially poses a na-10
7272 tional security risk to the United States or its inter-11
7373 ests. 12
