To require the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection
to issue a rule before deleting or modifying certain small
business loan data, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Bank Loan Privacy 4
Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. RULEMAKING REQUIREMENT. 6
Section 704B(e)(4) of the Equal Credit Opportunity 7
Act (15 U.S.C. 1691c–2(e)(4)) is amended— 8

Bureau shall, before deleting or modifying data 7
under this paragraph issue, through advance 8
notice and comment, a rule that includes a de-9
scription of what modifications and deletions 10
the Bureau intends to make to the data and 11
how such modifications and deletions will ad-12
vance a privacy interest.’’. 13
