SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Defend our Coast 4
Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. WITHDRAWAL FROM DISPOSITION OF MID-ATLAN-1
TIC OUTER CONTINENTAL SHELF. 2
Section 12 of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act 3
(43 U.S.C. 1341) is amended by adding at the end the 4
following: 5
‘‘(g) W
ITHDRAWALFROMDISPOSITION OFMID-AT-6
LANTICOUTERCONTINENTALSHELF.—The Secretary 7
may not issue a lease for the exploration, development, 8
or production of oil or gas on the outer Continental Shelf 9
in the Mid-Atlantic Planning Area, as such planning area 10
is depicted in the 2024–2029 National Outer Continental 11
Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Proposed Final Program (Sep-12
tember 2023).’’. 13
