32 | 32 | | NGENERAL.—With respect to any disaster, a 4 |

35 | 35 | | stroyed by such disaster may request a forbearance on 7 |
---|

38 | 38 | | EQUEST FORFORBEARANCE.—A borrower de-9 |

39 | 39 | | scribed in subsection (a) may request a forbearance by— 10 |

40 | 40 | | (1) submitting a written request for a forbear-11 |

41 | 41 | | ance to the borrower’s servicer; and 12 |
---|
42 | 42 | | (2) providing documentation of verifiable dam-13 |
---|
43 | 43 | | age or destruction to the property. 14 |

47 | 47 | | N GENERAL.—Upon receiving a request for 16 |

48 | 48 | | a forbearance from a borrower described in sub-17 |

49 | 49 | | section (a), the borrower’s servicer shall grant a for-18 |

50 | 50 | | bearance— 19 |
---|
51 | 51 | | (A) for a duration of 180 days; and 20 |

52 | 52 | | (B) regardless of the delinquency status of 21 |
