36 | 36 | | (3) The statute first authorizing the agency, 9 |

37 | 37 | | and subsequent reform efforts, have received strong 10 |

38 | 38 | | bipartisan support over multiple decades, including 11 |
---|
39 | 39 | | from Presidential administrations of both parties. 12 |

41 | 41 | | ENSE OFCONGRESS.—It is the sense of Con-13 |

43 | 43 | | (1) any reform or reorganization of the Cor-15 |

44 | 44 | | poration for National and Community Service should 16 |
---|
45 | 45 | | be done— 17 |
---|
46 | 46 | | (A) in accordance with existing laws; 18 |
---|
47 | 47 | | (B) in a manner that maintains the United 19 |
---|
48 | 48 | | States support for national service; 20 |
---|
49 | 49 | | (C) in a manner that allows the National 21 |
---|
50 | 50 | | Service Trust to continue to meet all of its obli-22 |
---|
51 | 51 | | gations to participants in AmeriCorps; and 23 |
---|
52 | 52 | | (D) in a manner that maintains the Fed-24 |
---|
53 | 53 | | eral Government’s active role in meeting unmet 25 |

65 | 65 | | SEC. 3. PROHIBITION OF FUNDS TO ELIMINATE THE COR-9 |

71 | 71 | | Appropriations Act of 1999 (22 U.S.C. 6563), no Federal 14 |

72 | 72 | | funds appropriated or otherwise made available by the 15 |

73 | 73 | | American Relief Act, 2025 (Public Law 118–158) or any 16 |
---|
74 | 74 | | other or prior appropriations Act may be made available 17 |
---|
75 | 75 | | to eliminate the status of the Corporation for National and 18 |
---|
76 | 76 | | Community Service as a Government corporation, as de-19 |
---|
77 | 77 | | fined in section 103 of title 5, United States Code. 20 |
