2525 Section 3(q) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 7
2626 632(q)) is amended— 8

4040 ‘‘(I) a surviving child of the deceased 11
4141 veteran acquires such veteran’s ownership 12
4242 interest in such concern; and 13
4343 ‘‘(II) immediately prior to the death 14
4444 of such veteran and during the period de-15
4545 scribed in clause (ii), the small business 16
4646 concern is included in the database de-17
4747 scribed in section 36. 18
4848 ‘‘(ii) The time period described in this 19
4949 clause is the time period beginning on the date 20
5050 of the veteran’s death and ending on the earlier 21
5151 of— 22
5252 ‘‘(I) the date on which the surviving 23
5353 child relinquishes an ownership interest in 24
5454 the small business concern; or 25
