1818 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Cattle Fever Tick 4
1919 Eradication Program Enhancement Act’’. 5

3232 ered institution shall conduct a review of the Pro-3

3535 EVIEW ELEMENTS.—The review conducted 5
3636 pursuant to paragraph (1) shall include an evalua-6
3737 tion of— 7
3838 (A) the effectiveness of the Program with 8
3939 respect to preventing and reducing the spread 9
4040 of tick-borne illnesses in cattle; 10
4141 (B) with respect to cattle producers— 11
4242 (i) the benefits of the Program; and 12
4343 (ii) the burden of compliance with the 13
4444 Program; 14
4545 (C) the treatment protocols developed and 15
4646 implemented under the Program; and 16
4747 (D) the Federal and State funds allocated 17
4848 to support the Program for the most recent fis-18
4949 cal year, including the funds allocated to each 19
5050 research project associated with the Program. 20

5252 EPORT.—Not later than 1 year after the date 21
5353 on which the Secretary of Agriculture and a covered insti-22
5454 tution enter into a contract pursuant to subsection (a)(1), 23
5555 the Secretary of Agriculture shall submit to the Com-24
5656 mittee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives and 25

7171 OVERED INSTITUTION .—The term ‘‘cov-10
7272 ered institution’’ means— 11
7373 (A) a land-grant college or university; or 12
7474 (B) a non-land-grant college of agriculture. 13

7676 AND-GRANT COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY .— 14
7777 The term ‘‘land-grant college or university’’ means 15
7878 an institution from among the land-grant colleges 16
7979 and universities (as defined in section 1404 of the 17
8080 National Agricultural Research, Extension, and 18
8181 Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3103)). 19

8383 ON-LAND-GRANT COLLEGE OF AGRI -20
8484 CULTURE.—The term ‘‘non-land-grant college of ag-21
8585 riculture’’ has the meaning given such term in sec-22
8686 tion 1404 of the National Agricultural Research, 23
8787 Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 24
8888 U.S.C. 3103). 25

9393 the Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program carried 2
9494 out by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection 3
