national Emergency Economic Powers Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Prevent Tariff Abuse 4
Act’’. 5

TIES AND QUOTAS FROM PRESIDENTIAL AU-2
THORITIES UNDER THE INTERNATIONAL 3
EMERGENCY ECONOMIC POWERS ACT. 4
Section 203 of the International Emergency Eco-5
nomic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1702) is amended— 6
(1) by redesignating subsection (c) as sub-7
section (d); and 8
(2) by inserting after subsection (b) the fol-9
lowing: 10
‘‘(c) The authority granted to the President by this 11
section does not include the authority to impose duties, 12
tariff-rate quotas, or other quotas on articles entering the 13
United States.’’. 14
