133 | 133 | | (1), the Administrator of General Services shall— 11 |
---|
134 | 134 | | (A) allow any State and any political sub-12 |
---|
135 | 135 | | division of a State to submit a proposal for the 13 |
---|
136 | 136 | | relocation of the headquarters of the Executive 14 |
---|
137 | 137 | | agency; 15 |
---|
138 | 138 | | (B) provide the public with notice and an 16 |
---|
139 | 139 | | opportunity to comment on any proposal sub-17 |
---|
140 | 140 | | mitted under subparagraph (A); and 18 |
---|
141 | 141 | | (C) in consultation with the head of the 19 |
---|
142 | 142 | | Executive agency, select a State, or a political 20 |
---|
143 | 143 | | subdivision of a State, for the relocation of the 21 |
---|
144 | 144 | | headquarters using a competitive bidding proce-22 |
---|
145 | 145 | | dure that considers— 23 |
---|
146 | 146 | | (i) the extent to which the relocation 24 |
---|
147 | 147 | | of the headquarters would impact the econ-25 |
---|

163 | 163 | | ULE OFCONSTRUCTION.—Nothing in this Act 12 |
---|
164 | 164 | | shall be construed to prohibit a political subdivision of the 13 |
---|
165 | 165 | | State of Maryland or the Commonwealth of Virginia that 14 |
---|
166 | 166 | | is located outside the Washington metropolitan area from 15 |
---|
167 | 167 | | submitting a proposal under subsection (c)(2)(A). 16 |
