3939 MPORTRESTRICTIONS.—Section 307 of the Con-9
4040 vention on Cultural Property Implementation Act (19 10
4141 U.S.C. 2606) is amended— 11
4242 (1) in subsection (b)— 12
4343 (A) in paragraph (1), by striking ‘‘; or’’ at 13
4444 the end and inserting a comma; 14
4545 (B) in paragraph (2)(B), by adding ‘‘or’’at 15
4646 the end; and 16
4747 (C) by inserting after paragraph (2)(B) (as 17
4848 amended) the following: 18
4949 ‘‘(3) in the case of such material that is numis-19
5050 matic material, satisfactory evidence that the mate-20
5151 rial was acquired lawfully, is of a known type, and 21
5252 is not known to be the direct product of illicit exca-22
5353 vations within a State Party,’’; 23
5454 (2) in subsection (c)— 24

7777 of illicit excavations within another State Party 20
7878 after the effective date for import restrictions 21
7979 on numismatic material granted to that State 22

8686 customs officer reviewing the satisfactory evidence shall 2

8888 to that which is set forth in subsection (c) unless the cus-4
8989 toms officer has probable cause based on documentary evi-5
9090 dence to believe that the satisfactory evidence is false or 6
9191 fraudulent.’’. 7
