SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 1
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Health Care Providers 2
Safety Act of 2025’’. 3
SEC. 2. GRANTS TO HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO EN-4
HANCE SECURITY. 5
Part P of title III of the Public Health Service Act 6
(42 U.S.C. 280g et seq.) (as amended by Public Law 117– 7
328) is amended by adding at the end the following: 8
‘‘SEC. 399V–8. GRANTS TO HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO EN-9
HANCE SECURITY. 10
‘‘(a) I
NGENERAL.—The Secretary may award grants 11
to health care providers to pay for security services and 12
otherwise enhance the physical and cyber security of their 13
facilities, personnel, and patients to ensure safe access. 14
‘‘(b) U
SE OFFUNDS.—A health care provider receiv-15
ing a grant under this section may use the grant to pay 16
the costs of necessary security services and enhancements 17
to physical access and cyber security, including video sur-18
veillance camera systems, data privacy enhancements, and 19
structural improvements.’’. 20
