IMPROVEMENT TO REIMBURSEMENT OF CON-1 TINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION EX-2 PENSES FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS 3 OF DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS. 4 (a) R EIMBURSEMENT.—Section 7411 of title 38, 5 United States Code, is amended to read as follows: 6 ‘‘§ 7411. Reimbursement of continuing professional 7 education expenses 8 ‘‘(a) R EIMBURSEMENT.—The Secretary shall reim-9 burse certain full-time health care professionals of the De-10 partment for expenses incurred for continuing professional 11 education in amounts as follows: 12 ‘‘(1) With respect to any physician, dentist, po-13 diatrist, registered nurse, or physician assistant ap-14 pointed under section 7401(1) of this title, not more 15 than $2,000 per year for each such individual. 16 ‘‘(2) With respect to any psychologist, licensed 17 practical or vocational nurse, medical technologist, 18 diagnostic radiologic technologist, or social worker 19 appointed under section 7401(3) of this title, not 20 more than $2,000 per year for each such individual. 21 ‘‘(b) A DJUSTMENT.—The Secretary may from time 22 to time adjust the dollar amounts specified in subsection 23 (a), so long as such adjustment does not result in a reim-24 bursement of less than $2,000 per year for each individual 25 specified in subsection (a).’’. 26 VerDate Sep 11 2014 21:11 Feb 19, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H657.IH H657 kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB 3 •HR 657 IH (b) CLERICALAMENDMENT.—The table of sections 1 at the beginning of chapter 74 of such title is amended 2 by striking the item relating to section 7411 and inserting 3 the following new item: 4 ‘‘7411.
