3838 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘National Training Cen-4
3939 ter for Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems Act’’. 5
4040 SEC. 2. ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTER-UAS SYSTEM TRAIN-6

4343 NGENERAL.—Subtitle A of title II of the Home-8
4444 land Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. 121 et seq.) is amend-9
4545 ed by adding at the end the following new sections: 10
4646 ‘‘SEC. 210H. COUNTER-UAS SYSTEM TRAINING. 11
4747 ‘‘The Attorney General, in coordination with the Sec-12
4848 retary (acting through the Director of the Federal Law 13
4949 Enforcement Training Centers), may— 14
5050 ‘‘(1) provide training relating to measures to 15
5151 take the actions described in subsection (b)(1) of 16
5252 section 210G; and 17
5353 ‘‘(2) establish or designate one or more facili-18
5454 ties or training centers for the purpose described in 19
5555 paragraph (1). 20
5656 ‘‘SEC. 210I. COUNTER-UAS DETECTION AND MITIGATION 21

6666 establish standards for initial and recurrent training pro-2
6767 grams or certifications for individuals seeking to operate 3
6868 counter-UAS detection and mitigation systems, equip-4
6969 ment, or technology. 5
7070 ‘‘(b) I
7171 MPLEMENTATION.—To carry out subsection 6
7272 (a), the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Attorney 7
7373 General shall, at a minimum— 8
7474 ‘‘(1) consider the potential impacts of the sys-9
7575 tems, equipment, and technology referred to in such 10
7676 subsection on aviation safety, civil aviation and aero-11
7777 space operations, aircraft airworthiness, or the civil-12
7878 ian use of airspace, and appropriate actions to main-13
7979 tain aviation safety, as determined by the Adminis-14
8080 trator of the Federal Aviation Administration; and 15
8181 ‘‘(2) establish— 16
8282 ‘‘(A) interagency coordination require-17
8383 ments prior to deployment of such systems, 18
8484 equipment, and technology; and 19
8585 ‘‘(B) the frequency at which an individual 20
8686 authorized to operate such systems, equipment, 21
8787 or technology shall complete and renew such 22
8888 training or certification. 23

9999 in section 44801, of title 49, United States Code. 5
